SPURENSUCHE

Wenn ein Produkt im Laden steht, ist die Arbeit des Designers beendet, doch die des Produktes fängt gerade erst an. Damit einher gehen bestimmte Veränderungen, wie z.B. Gebrauchsspuren.
Diese werden meist negativ wahrgenommen und entwerten das Produkt.
Im Rahmen meiner Bachelorarbeit habe ich versucht, dies zu verändern, in dem das Auftreten von Gebrauchsspuren von vorneherein in die Gestaltung intergriert wird. Durch meine Recherche habe ich verschiedene Gestaltungsparameter entwickelt, durch die das Produkt und seine Gebrauchsspuren sich gegenseitig vervollständigen und ein harmonisches Gesamtbild entsteht. Der Makel wird zum Gestaltungsmoment.

When we design a product, we tend to think that what is presented in the store is the finished product.
That is not entirely true, as it is at this moment that the journey of the product truly starts.
Over time the product changes, due to usage and external circumstances. 
We see these changes in the form of signs of usage, like for example marks and scratches on a tabletop. Sadly these traces are mainly perceived negativley and seem to devalue the product, even if this is not actually the case.
In this collection integrated the eventual emergence of the signs of usage in the design of the products from the beginning.
Through my research I developed several factors through which the products and the signs of usage visually complete each other.
